Lotus roots usually harvest in August. However in Yunnan, the first lotus roots can be harvested already.

莲藕通常在八月收获。然而在云南，第一批莲藕已经可以收割了。

They are crispy and sweet. So I made several local dishes with them.

它们又脆又甜，我试着做了几道本地菜。

Thanks to the great natural environment of Yunnan, you can taste the summer sunshine even in the lotus roots.
