Chinese underwater dancer becomes ‘River Goddess’

A 31-year-old dancer paid tribute to “Luoshen”, the mythical Chinese Goddess of the River Luo, during an underwater performance for the Dragon Boat Festival.

Chinese social media doesn't really have the same level of political correctness of the Western platforms, so views of different types no matter how absurd can be seen.

Also the environmental protection issue is a hotly debated topic in China recently, because it was discovered that there are an organized front of Western NGOs using Chinese internet influencers, to push the narrative that Chinese people's diet of eating meat and seafood is damaging the environment. While obfuscating similar diet of westerners whom eats a lot more meat and seafood per person than Chinese.

@Peachy It's still not that hard. I'm not a professional diver but can hold my breath for a minute and a half and getting more and more everytime I practice. It's beautiful and nice to look at, but I don't think the difficulty level is very high.

@schuyler morgan I think it's physically demanding. Remember that she's also wearing 5kg weights on her body, coupled with the dancing she does underwater, with those movements that are quite different from the regular swimming, I'd say the air she has will be consumed faster.
