I experienced a similar situation when an elder lady slipped off a flight of stairs in a station when i was in ShenZhen couple years back. What amazed me was in that split second moment, with virtually no pause, everyone nearby sprinted to her and grabbed her up. It just shows the amazing community spirit that exists in China like i've never seen anywhere else in the world.
