I mean verse is most likely from the word “universe” while hoyo is taken from their old logo, so they probably just weren’t fans of Miku anymore and decided to keep hoyo to reference their old name.

Funny thing is, they initially wanted to use the name "HoYo", but it was already taken by another company. So they just put the "mi" from "Hatsune Miku" to get the final name "miHoYo".

Wtf i thought the mi in mihoyo means mini/small because someone said that the company just started and now the change it to HOYOVERSE because they are now one of the biggest game in the world. Bruh never would have i thought its from miku!
