The thing that makes me still prefer genshin is that genshin still has a lot to go in terms of it's story whilst the seven deadly sins game's story would either be based on the anime and the manga or just a filler prequel story to the manga which doesn't appeal to me that much either way.

I love Genshin a lot honestly. The characters and the lore are so refreshing and not overdone.
But I agree. They need better competitors. Hopefully though if it does surpass Genshin then Mihoyo will take it as a sign to improve their game instead of ignoring the competition like how they ignored major suggestions from their players.
