A mystery cube-like object was spotted and photographed by the Chinese lunar rover on the far side of the moon on December 3, 2021. According to the Chinese space media outlet Our Space, the mysterious object was about 80 metres (262ft) from the robotic lunar rover Yutu 2. China has since launched an investigation into the object, which will take three months to reach.

Imagine you travel all that way through a 3 months journey the rover captures a photo up close and at mission control the scientists are eagerly waiting for the photo to arrive finally it arrives they open the picture just to find out it’s a oddly shaped rock.

It is possible that it is another rover, or a broken one perhaps since the rover also has a cube-like shape.

The rover have got more important jobs than just take a closer look at that cube shaped object, if its just the cubed shaped object it does not need 3 months, the rover must be recording huge amount of data of the moon surface and every inch of the surrounding area etc etc.

1. It is seeing a mirage, like in the desert.

2. It has found the Allspark.
