One of the best novels that I have read in wuxiaworld!! An exciting and thrilling read !! There are some parts where the tempo is slower compared to the usual tempo. And the timing of arrival is somewhat illogical. And the way how pill concoction process is narrated is quite lengthy and boresome. Other than a few more glitches here and there, the book is pretty good. I dont understand the reason for the 100 word requirement for submission of review. Frankly, this just makes it kinda forced, so we are unable to submit the true review as per my own thoughts.

The story is impressively fleshed out and entertaining. The novel is basically split into many different kind of arches. Fights, Alchemy, cultivating, and story. Each side is given its time and described in amazing details. I personally really enjoy the sheer amount of detail the author describes the alchemy in the story with. How the flame used to create pills is moved and controlled. As well as the varying steps in mixing medicine. It makes you feel the effort and difficulty people are having crafting their various medicines. A nice part of these arches as well is if you get bored of one of these parts you will not have to wait too long to get to another part. It leads to an extremely varied and interesting story with many aspects to enjoy and pay attention to.

I also enjoy the MC who is very complex and follows his own internal code of right and wrong. Watching him get vengeance on those who slight him make for some of the most amusing and bloodiest scenes you will ever get to read. The MC's connections and the burgeoning romances among many different characters is also interesting to see as circumstances brings the MC close to a variety of characters and type of people. All in all it is a very enjoyable read that I think anyone can enjoy. I would especially suggest reading this if you enjoy stories about underdogs and bullies getting their comeuppance.

The ending tapers off near the end, but the romance is well written (As opposed to some other books/novels, it does not feel extremely forced.)

If this is your first time reading these types of xuanhuan novels you might like it.
But if you are used to these novels you will soon realize this is only a ok ok novel.
Pros: The main character is someone who starts off as a weak guy and becomes the strongest at the end.
Cons: 1) The main character is one big stupid dump idiot who never ever ever uses his brain at all. I don't think he even knows the meaning of 'ambush'. All he relies on is powerful treasures he obtained to brute force fights

This book is honestly one of my favorites along with Coiling Dragon since they were both what got me started with reading novels. The MC in this goes through hardship and fights through in order to become the strongest in his world. Thank you for translating this and bringing this novel over to the USA and other countries that wouldn't have had a chance to read such an amazing novel. The only real problem I had with this book is the pairing since it started with him and one girl Xun'er, up until about half way then it switches to harem. Like I said thank you for translating this and keep up the good work!

Pretty good
I see most of the other comments talk about how the story and or writing falls apart after a few hundreds of chapters have passed. Spoiler alert: the exact same thing happens to basically ALL of the stories here, repetition of MC getting strong destroying people left and right only to run into something stronger .
This is still a good story to read and for me was well up there with the best of them, if you like manwha go start at that first then come to the novel if you feel like you want to continue.
All in all it is very entertaining and was the story that brought me into cultivation novels.
