A Masterpiece, arguably one of the best Chinese if not the best novel on NU.
This novel doesn't shy away from violence and mature topics. It is very well-written and the world-building is top tier. And let's not forget Fang Yuan. He's one of the if not the best MC I've read till now. He's the strongest point of this novel.

Probably one of the best world building in a LN, not only is the Main Character a practical, ruthless, anti-hero with deep planning and plots, but he isn't the only one. Any of the people who have gotten to positions of power in this world, have had to use their head, and carefully and meticulously work their way up in this world. Nothing is ever as simple as it seems in this novel.

And the people who don't like this are either childish or either people who don't like evil MC, I know there are evil MC out here but I am not saying a good person or a cold MC I am saying evil, which means killing a child, mother etc I know many don't like this so I am not obligated to tell u to read but it's somewhat gets me in my mind that there are this type of dumb people out here !
The plots progress is absolutely great the writing is good and the things which this novel teaches is something not really seem in chinese novels, as people have already stated many pro I don't wanna elaborate further into it but the novel is absolutely great if u really are bored

Fang Yuan, the MC of this novel is, Absolutely fascinating! He is a Villain with a Dignity. A Villain with the awareness of a Villain. A Villain worthy of admiration.
There's no eternal enemy or friends, only eternal benefits. There's no absolute good or evil, only absolute benefits.
That's extremely true!
Heroes are, after all, people who kill under the banner of "justice". While Justice itself was something people with power create for their own convenience. On the other hand, villains are people who kill without any hypocrisy or obscuring their deeds as justice.
This novel gives me a satisfaction I can't get from a lot of other novels!

I've read a lot of Wuxia/Xianxia/Xuanhuan novels, and I can say without a doubt that Reverend Insanity is simply the best one out there. It is arguably the ONLY progression fantasy novel actually worth reading. However, that being said, it still shares all the flaws that web novels tend to have.
However, compared to other Xianxia/Xuanhuan web novels, it's simply the best. The world, plot, and MC are all consistent enough that you can actually turn off your brain to enjoy the progression.

The writing is very good but incredibly redundant and the main character does things in such a way that they dont make sense with any justification. If he can do something the harmless, easy, and intelligent way he will always opt for the harmful and s*upid way usually with flimsy justification that doesn't stand to any scrutiny.

I don't understand why so many people recommended this novel, the MC is a loner and barely communicates with anyone else.
I can only hope the MC will be able to find some friends later on, but I won't be staying to find out.

Amazing novel. It is the best I've ever read. I love how the MC is evil and unpredictable making him super unique. The power system itself is the most well developed power system I've seen. The only downside I would say is that because there are over 2300 chapters, there are inevitably a good number of fillers. However, there's not an unbelievable amount of fillers like in the naruto anime where over half of the episodes are useless. For its length, the amount of fillers is reasonable, and a lot of the fillers are cool short stories which are enjoyable to read

Some people might not like it as they feel it is too dark, but it's really not compared to say Warlock of the Magnus World.
It's definitely my all-time favorite. I cannot recommend it enough.

A good novel with an MC that constantly strives for a single goal, and doesn't let anything get in the way. There are some annoying things later on like some time BS and repeated info, but overall it deserves a read for having a properly ruthless MC.
