Probably a 3.5, but there aren't half-stars here.
I previously read -90°'s The Strongest Gene, and this is of similar quality. Some interesting ideas, some humor, not the worst writing. But characters are introduced that are later mostly forgotten about.
There are plenty of problems with the story (or possibly the translation). Plot-holes and mistaken details, but some of them might be chalked up to errors in the translation. There are plenty of other translation mistakes (wrong words or just plain grammatical errors). For example, near the end someone translating seems to think "stunning" and "gorgeous" are 100% interchangeable. So expect to hear about someone's "gorgeous defeat" or "gorgeous turnabout" or "gorgeous outcome".

And the author is ret*rded to think that people would just think that the MC was 'hiding' his abilities if he suddenly shows 100x improvement even if it's just before a test.
I really can't find anything 'original' about this story.

The first 400 chapter still quite OK for me, but the story after the beast tide is kinda going down hill (with increasing loophole).
But, it's still OK if you just wanna enjoy a complete story w/ happy end setting

Decided to drop it because I felt that reading it became a chore. I don't mind slow-paced novels but as mentioned by other reviewers, the author repeats contents and employs filler chapters way too much.

This is a really good cultivation story with some ability steal elements and a fairly smart MC. The MC does kill his enemies, but is at times far too soft, which causes him to fail at times. But he learns from his failures and improves.

This could have been so much better. It's set in a futuristic world and the cultivation of Espers was a wonderful addition in the already saturated "spiritual energy" market of novels.
Unfortunately, just like others have mentioned, the translation/editing is not that good so that descriptions and even storyline gets confusing.

Putting it on hold for now, the plot isn't that original but it's what made me try out this novel in the first place. I like how this takes place in a High school/university setting but the translation isn't great and the story so far isn't that good for me to continue.
