At first, after reading around 500 chapters I decided to drop this novel since I can't stand the repetitive Young Master offended Li Qiye.

One years later, I decided to re-read this novel but through different perspective. I will enjoy the novel just based on mystery and LQ personality. Since then, I never felt bored of the repetitiveness since I don't give a damn about the plot.

Until later, after going to 2200'ish, I feel something different about my personality, my confidence is improving, I can keep my calm on any situation, and I feel my willpower is much more determined than before. Maybe it's affected by Li Qiye personality, the calm and unshakeable man, who always emphasize the importance of "Dao Heart" more than anything else (esp. talent).

Reading this novel with particular perspective can really improve your mentality, just by admiring Li Qiye's trait and aspire to have the same mental fortitude as him is very beneficial.

That's how my mentality improved.

开始我读了大约500章后，决定放弃，实在受不了重复的年轻人得罪了李七夜。

@Celeduim well, it's not chuunibyou. I'm not imagining myself could cultivate like character in the novel. Just, I really felt something different happens to myself after over-analyzing Li Qiye personality. It's something that I never felt before, even after reading a few dozen of Chinese novels.

Sigh, this novel is a curse. One can't appreciate it's true beauty without comparing it with others and yet can't help but lament the fact that just maybe it was better of to have never come across this masterpiece. Every damn time I'm reading something else, I can't help but compare the other MCs with Li Qiye and find myself asking 'Why, just why can't you handle it like Li Qiye?' and then quickly become disappointed. That's just how perfect of an MC is Li Qiye.

Those that have eyes but can't see are ignorant.
