China’s ‘science grandma’: retired professor goes viral with quirky physics videos on social media

Retired physics professor Wu Yuren has become an online sensation on Chinese social media with her quirky science videos.

Affectionately called “science grandma” online, the 72-year-old’s short-form videos about physics have attracted more than one million followers and over 50 million views.

The professor began making short-form videos on China’s video-sharing platform Douyin three years ago, hoping to bring physics to the masses in a casual, inspiring and fun manner.

What she said is so true. Why can't science be thought like this or history through movies/series instead of memorizing all those names and dates through books, it makes education really boring for the majority.
