Whatever works to keep it alive, I guess. I love Chinese opera, but I do prefer it without the "new" elements, for me personally they have the opposite effect, they make me lose interest lol. I like it traditional, the way it has been done for ages, it makes me feel like I'm witnessing a piece of history then, and it's entertaining and beautiful as it is.
