This is book is a what you see is what you get book as the name suggests it is 'A record of a Mortals Journey to Immortality'. Not record of his friends, epic items,girls, and followers.It is one man's struggle to the top, it is well paced and interesting.

Because of its realistic story of a simple mortal that gains a chance to cultivate at heigh level in martial cruel world and made his own name this novel became my one most favourite that I highly recommend to people who wanna read something new rather than harem ,an over power character .a simple minded fool who always play parts of hero or a great villain who don't give damn about anything and acts cool .that's made Han Li very different from others ..very interesting story

One of those novels that takes their time to build the characters up. Does not get Over Power straight away and has twists and turns. Slowly ranks up through his cultivation and grows slowly (Talking over hundreds of years). Also not a good or evil type character. He sits on the fence of both. Can be totally evil in some instances but also the good guy. He sits in that area of grey. Not afraid to run and hide for his life if he thinks things are turning bad to come out much later and exact revenge.

This by far my the best novel I've read.Han Li starts out as a the 4th son of a farmer and ends up getting the chance to become an immortal. In his early development, he struggles to without a mentor. Later in the story, he'll temporarily put aside his differences with some of his enemies to achieve his goals. Like most novels he makes friends and enemies. Althoigh he becomes acquainted with many women, only one of them becomes his Dao companion. So this is not your typical harem styled story. The story does a great job at time progression. Not like other stories where the MC goes from weak to strong/unstoppable in flash (20 years). I highly recommend this story.

This is the first novel I ever read and god damn did it set the bar so high for anything else. Currently up to date and gotta say the story moves perfectly. Doesn’t overstay it’s welcome and fits a perfect character arc which matched with the cultivation journey. Enjoy how it starts with Han being so young and whisked away to his journey. There are factors of Providence but Han makes the most of it by god is he OP... as in over prepared. He is the bane of the dark side of cultivation but the path he treads represents the yin yang perfectly. Kudos to Author for wonderful novel.

The series starts off slow, but it gives a very colorful detail of the world of cultivation. Like many have said this is now a power fantasy novel, all the decisions the main character makes are logical, and there is very little romance. The main character isn't a good person or a bad person like in most novels. He only acts if its in his best interest. Every victory feels earned and every close encounter doesn't feel like plot armor. The stories interweave and often characters and items you haven't seen in a while often make reappearances.

I'll be honest, I'm nowhere near done with this novel, but I absoulutely can't recommend it enough. The MC's cultivation is slow, yet the story never really feels like it's dragging on. It's interesting and reminds me alot of an Er Gen novel. Also why is there a 100 word requirement I'm not eloquent enough to write such an amazing review I just like this book why do I have to do this please let it stop I can't do this anymore oh god the pain in my brain is like a train I'm almost done just 3 more words

Enjoyable overall a xianxia novel with all it intel minus a lot of the usual cringe and cliches.I recommend it for those who just wish to enjoy a "fresh" xianxia.Enjoy !
