Bad writing. Author rambles and info dumps the entire time about world building and beasts. Story doesn't move forward at all. So boring to read.

If this series gives you an intense dosage of deja vu, it's because the other title of this series is published under the title Mysterious Noble Beasts by Ligh Spring Flow according to NovelUpdates.

That said, this series isn't especially memorable. I've dropped it once and don't plan to pick it up again. It's like many other beast taming series out there.

Well, at this point I think the author has made his stance quite apparent. He will not allow the MC to kill monsters and instead just makes them faint. Just like PG rated Pokemon. These are monsters that are in the woods. These monsters KILL people. There was even a beast tide that killed off his whole village and kill his parents. How are you suppose to protect people/villages/cities from beast tides if all you are going to do is make the monsters faint? How are the people in the LN eating beast meat if all you do is make the monsters faint? I think I have made my point by now. I don't think I will be reading this any further. Have fun all.

Is this novel racist??? cause im in chapter 2 and i see the "national treasure" panda, and that screams red flag for me. i just hope the entirety of humanity in this novel are all Chinese cause there's really no need to add America,Japan,korea etc if you're just going to bring them down.

I don’t have the context, just scanning through reviews to decide if I should check this novel out. Err, if it’s just calling pandas “national treasures”, that’s not racist at all. Unless it’s doing something like claiming pandas are superior to other animals. Which is… still not racist. Like some people go “Cats are the best pets! They’re the cutest!” While others talk about dogs or birds or lizards or fish. That’s just a matter of opinion on which animals they like more. So unless they go to an extreme level with the pandas and comparing them to other nations’ animals… that’s not really racist.

I am like 95% sure China refers to pandas as their national treasure/symbol/animal(?). Looking at other reviews nobody has mentioned any nationalistic views.
