Chinese myth is barely explored, and I don't see many games that truly explore Journey to the West the way Black Myth Wukong is seemingly doing. So I am one of those people who is more interested in this game over GoW.

You can look on Wikipedia about the basic facts. Journey to the West is a Chinese novel written in the 15th-16th century and is about the fantasy-adventure of Sun Wukong that is supposed to occur during the 7th century Tang Dynasty (it was partially based on a real life journey of Tang monk Xuanzang in the 7th century AD).
