I don't think they need bro, Japan already got a big name for games on PC and Console platform like "Resident Evil", "NieR", "Final Fantasy" etc. Japan devs just don't like to creates those kind of games to mobile platform u know.. They only focus on THAT platform.. U can't blame them for that, They just have different way.

I know right many of them are dead and going global and then closed server, going bankrupt because no global player base, they're only cared jp server.

While chinese still cared abour their

marketing on acgn even though exploiting every nook and cranny jp style and gameplay.

Japanese still struggle on outdated law system, they're all afraid of big company in their local market and their poor sales management.

In chinese we are rich and legally copying stuff and we can build our player base bigger than japan, no probably number one in the world.
