Himeko's design certainly weird, she may has the same hair as her younger self but her "middle age" version has split bang and now as an adult, she went back to that old hair style. There also a good amount of flashback when Himeko only just start out as a teacher still keep the younger's hair style too.

It almost like Mihoyo trying to change her design.
